We're proud to be a B Corp. What's that mean?
B Corporations have met comprehensive and transparent standards of social and environmental performance that are certified by an independent Standards Advisory Council. B corporations must also embed their values into their corporate governing documents so stakeholders - not just shareholders – benefit from their business practices. At the beginning of 2009, Heller Consulting became a designated B Corporation in order to practice “the change we seek” (the B Corporation motto). We wanted to weave our core values further into the fabric of our business culture and practices, ensuring those values will be part of our company for years to come. Though we have been adhering to many of the principles valued by B Corps since our founding in 1996, we now have a way to benchmark ourselves. Together, with this great community of businesses ranging from million dollar corporations to start-ups, we hope to make a difference in the world through strong business practices. At Heller Consulting, our goal is to help our nonprofit clients be more effective and efficient in their operations and use of technology, in turn helping organizations to better execute their missions. We do this through aligning their software and business practices with their fundraising and mission management strategies, goals and systems. Beyond these services, we support nonprofits in many ways. From free, downloadable resources on our website, to matched employee giving programs, to our participation in conferences and user groups across the nation, we strive to contribute knowledge, best practices, and financial support to benefit the greater good. Everyone on our team has worked in the nonprofit sector and shares the core values of commitment, service and providing value to others. We’ve worked hard to weave these values into the fabric of our firm. It’s exciting to be part of this network of diverse people and organizations that share our hope for a better world. We welcome the opportunity to both collaborate with, and draw inspiration from, the B Corp community. To learn more about B Corp. Click Here.
